Circa 1880, late Victorian walnut and gilded duet stool. The rectangular stool has wonderful colourful needlepoint and fine petit point embroidered seat pad, and below is a lovely fringe with swags and tassels. The stools stands 6 turned fluted and gilded legs united by a very stylish curvaceous stretcher. Excellent colour and condition.
