This is a superb early 20th century Indian drinks table comprising a brass tray top on folding hardwood base with its label for Liberty & Co still present. The top is beautifully engraved with Arabic script and geometric patterns forming a band surrounding a large 6-sided star within which is an 8-sided star. The hardwood base has finely turned and carved legs and stretchers with a lattice-work of turned spindles between the stretchers connecting the three pairs of legs.

With 6 contact points between base and top, the table forms a stable surface and would make an excellent drinks, coffee or occasional table. The top lifts off and the base folds for easy storage when not in use.

Dimensions: Top diameter 66 cm, Height 60 cm

Condition: This table is in lovely antique condition with no damage or repairs. There is a slight warp to the top. The quality of the engraving and carving, together with the survival of the Liberty label, lifts this table above others of similar appearance.
