Lionel Edwards, My Hunting Sketchbook, 2 vols. Illustrated - Volume I contains 15 colour plates Volume II contains 21 illustrations, including 12 colour plates.
Published by Eyre & Spottiswood. Volume I is a first reprint published in November 1928 Volume II is a first edition published in 1930. Both have cream cloth boards with the titles pasted on to the front board and both retain their original paper dustjacket.
Complete, with all plates present. Overall in very good condition with good dustjackets. Volume I - The cloth boards are a little discoloured. Internally there is a gift inscription on the front endpaper (dated 1930) and the pages are tanned / discoloured with some scattered foxing (brown spotting), also affecting the pictorial pages. The dustjacket is worn and is little grubby and discoloured, with some small marks and some small losses and tears around the edges. Some attempt has been made to strengthen the folds on the reverse with tape at some point. Volume II - The cloth boards are a little discoloured with some foxing (brown spotting) to the spine. Internally the pages are tanned / discoloured with some light scattered foxing (brown spotting), also affecting the pictorial pages in places. The dustjacket is worn and is little grubby and discoloured, with some marks and some small losses and tears around the edges. Some attempt has been made to strengthen the folds on the reverse with tape at some point.
