A Liverpool porcelain tea bowl and saucer by John & Jane Pennington, printed with the "scallop shell and flower" pattern with a "bud and dot" border. Two large bugs are set between the main floral reserves. Unmarked, c.1775.

The tea bowl measure 7.9cm (3 1/8") wide and 4.5cm (1 3/4") high and the saucer is 13.2cm (5 3/16") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair. Both pieces have some areas of kiln dust spotting to the inside. Minimal handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
