The LMS operated from the grouping of 1923 to nationalisation in 1948. On its formation numerous companies came under its control including LNWR, Midland Railway, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, Caledonian Railway.

Approximate dimensions: cup diameter 78cm and 75.4cm tall, saucer diameter 149.5cm, total weight 328 grams.
There is some crazing, especially on the saucer, and some surface marks associated with normal use and age.
Overall in very good condition for the age.
