Very impressive late 19th.c. oak open bookcase with drawers c.1880. Measuring eight and a half feet long with three drawers over an open bookcase with eight adjustable shelves (14″ depth) which can be arranged as required, affording almost 18 feet of shelf space for books etc. Flanked with fixed quarter circle display shelves to the rounded ends. Shaped drawer fronts with original heavy brass handles cast with cherub’s heads. Moulded edges to the top and drawer fronts, fluted uprights and raised on a deep moulded plinth. Excellent colour and condition with some earlier repairs, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
