This attractive small wardrobe dates from around the 1920s and is very much in the art deco style. It is of lovely quality, with beautiful walnut veneers, and both the inside and outside of the doors are quarter veneered. The wardrobe has two doors with decorative brass handles, which open to reveal a hanging section on one side, with a pull-out front to back hanging rail and a shoe rack beneath, and a shelved section on the other side with two removable shelves. There is a tie / belt rack on the inside of one door. The piece has carved shoulders and is supported on short cabriole legs. It would originally have been a gentleman's wardrobe, but would make a nice child's wardrobe also.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. The left-hand door is missing its catch at the bottom, and no keys are present for the piece. The metalwork has some surface corrosion. There is an area of damage to the top of the shelf unit inside, which has an old repair.
