A handsome and highly sought-after Champagne bucket designed by Luc Lanel for Christofle, Paris.

This "Vulcan" design was created by Luc Lanel for the transatlantic liner "Ile-de-France" in 1927.

The underside is where the full marks can be found, which would date this piece to post-1935.

Excellent condition, minor wear on underside of handle from nails when picked up and minor surface wear commensurate with age.

The rim diameter measures 7 1/2" in diameter and spans 9 3/4" handle to handle x 8 1/4" tall.
