Lucienne Day is considered by many to be the pioneer of contemporary design, and better known for her fabrics than ceramics. She did however produce a handful of designs for Rosenthal in the late 50's to mid 60's which are highly sought after. This pattern is 'Delphi' featuring red over gold hieroglyphics.
