Magnificent 19th C French Sevres Vase
We are selling this wonderful quality 19th Century French sevres jewelled and ormolu vase. This vase was recently purchased from a private collector who has owned the piece for many years. To the highest quality the hand painted scene on the front is a courting couple set within a garden and observed by three small cupids. The centre scene is surrounded by small white jewels and hand painted gilt flowers and foilage. The back of the vase a delightful bird hovers over brightly coloured country flowers. The bronze ormolu handles are beaded down the centre and the tops form the head of a young maiden. It stands on a square ormolu base cast with flowers and draped cloth effect.
Measuring 24 1/2 inches in height and in lovely original condition with a couple of white jewels missing. A truely lovely piece for a serious collector.
