Mahogany Butlers Tray on Stand.
Good quality 19thC Mahogany Butlers Tray on later Chippendale style stand.

There is no such thing as an antique coffee table ! Drinking from low antique tables in front of sofa's weren't really lifestyle choices in 18th and 19thC homes - but antique furniture like this is an excellent compromise for modern day living.
The tray would originally have been used at standing height on a portable stand for transporting cutlery and crockery between the scullery and dining rooms.
The good quality mahogany stand was clearly made to measure for the tray probably in the last 30 years or so. Extremely practical too, with the tray removable to take things back to the kitchen. ALL OF OUR PRICES INCLUDE FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY.
