Mid 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1840. At 25″ height it is a little lower than many we see. 39½” diameter pale grey marble top featuring a shaped edge with concentric rings designed to prevent spilt drinks from running off the sides. Over a mahogany veneered apron with applied moulding. Raised on an acanthus leaf carved pedestal and shaped legs, also with acanthus leaf detail and scrolling feet. Unfortunately the top has been broken in the past but has been professionally repaired and reinforced at the rear. Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
