Circa 1840, British marquetry inlaid 3-door mahogany wardrobe, in the Dutch marquetry taste. It has an inlaid architectural cornice over a foliate inlaid frieze, above 3 panelled doors with foliate inlaid frames and magnificent marquetry panels including flowers, urns and floral baskets. To the sides are inlaid pilasters and unusually the gables also have a full marquetry inlay. Internally there is hanging to the sides, and a central bank of drawers with brass handles. It all stands on an enclosed base.
Size 209 cm high x 203 cm wide x 64 cm deep.
