Medici of Darlington Mercury Barometer


An early Victorian mahogany cased mercury wheel barometer. A swan neck pediment with a decorative brass finial. Silvered dials to the hygrometer, thermometer, main dial and level. The original convex mirror to the centre. Engraved main dial by maker 'P MEDICI, DARLINGTON'. Circa 1850.
Peter Medici of Darlington is recorded as working in the Newcastle and Shotley Bridge area. Another family member worked in Middlesbrough.
