Metamorphic Armchair & Library Steps c.1800 %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Rare late Georgian mahogany metamorphic armchair and library steps c.1800. Low back armchair with curving arms on gracefully swept supports over a lovely buttoned leather seat pad. Unfasten the two hooks at the rear and fold over the backrest and seat to make a set of library steps with baize covered treads and risers. Some old wear to the baize, otherwise excellent colour and condition with particularly good patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Width: 24.5" (62 cm)
Height: 36" (91.5 cm)
