We are offering for sale this attractive oil painting on canvas by the Midlands artist Michael Scott, who has signed the painting Scott in the lower right hand corner and dated it '94. It is also dated 10.4.94 by the artist on the stretcher. The painting depicts a corner of a sandstone garden wall, next to the white painted brick wall of a building. There is a flagstone path leading to a set of steps leading down and, on the second step is a brown and white cat watching something intently, possibly about to pounce! A pose that will appeal to any cat lover.

Unfortunately we have been unable to discover any biographical details about the artist and, as we have so little details other than his name, cannot even find out when he was born or died, if indeed he has died, as there are so many people with this name. However, we believe that he was resident somewhere in the Midlands.

The painting has been expensively framed in a 3 3/4" mottled ivory and bronze swept frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
