This is a vintage mid-century high quality oak bed in the tradition of the Arts & Crafts movement.

Raised on stout and solid, square section oak legs the headboard and foot board are united by the Vono (Patent 27299-08) metal frame, a sign of quality and making the bed very stable. The bed base is in good clean order ready for a mattress to be added.

The carved reciprocating arch form decorates the headboard forming a colonnade between the posts. The dished foot board is delineated with horizontal flutes between the robust posts that are topped with stout finials.

Pleasingly heavy and crafted to last a lifetime in solid oak of the best quality, the choice cuts of timber display beautifully with wisps of medullary rays shining through the oiled finish.
