Mid 19 Century Wrought Iron Gate
Description
Mid 19 th century wrought iron blacksmith forged gate.
The top has lovely scrolled ironwork
At either ends of the gate
With 8 section equal spaced uprights topped with ornate Very decorative arrow heads type Finials with detailed scrolling Bottom half has a double braced horizontal and diagonal stretcher giving maximum strength the hanging end of the gate has a rod topped again with a finial and the latch Closing end is a spring strapwork Incorporating the forged handle
Condition of the gate is very good given the age and it’s outdoor purpose it is very heavy and missing no components the gate is sold throughout and ready to fit
