We are offering for sale this mid 19th Century oil painting on panel, which is unsigned. The painting depicts a landscape at sunset, with a man in a tall hat walking next to a woman seated on a donkey. They are either standing by a pond where their three cows are watering, along with a goat, or they are driving their livestock over a ford. The painting has been very well executed in the style of the period.

As there is no indication of the artist verso, or a signature, we are unable to offer any information about them, unfortunately.

The painting has been newly framed in a 2 1/2" gilt frame and is ready to hang.

Image size: 12 7/8" x 8 1/2" - 32.7cm x 20.95cm

Frame size: 18 1/2" x 14" - 47cm x 35.5cm

Medium: Oils on wood panel

Condition: Very good condition for its age. Some craquelure, surface clean. No splits or warping to the panel. The frame is new.
