A mid 19th century large mahogany book slide. Probably Scottish.
Made in the best quality mahogany and in superb working order.
Dating from the 1840s. Superb carved mahogany cup handles to each side.
Closed size. 17 7/8" wide x 8" deep x 6 3/4" high.
Fully open 26" internal.
Fully closed 16 5/8" internal.
The very best quality with a superb colour and original patina.
