An extremely rare Macassar ebony extending table by Italian designer Carlo de Carli, extending top to accommodate a single butterfly leaf that stores inside the top, this sits on a hexagonal trumpet base with brass banded centre. The Italian-born Carlo de Carli is widely acclaimed for his work in furniture design. His midcentury Italian dining table remains a beloved classic to this day.
