Circa 1860, mid Victorian burr walnut 3 tier whatnot/buffet. The shaped top has an open fretwork gallery, and each tier has matching burr walnut veneers and are held in place by turned, carved and fluted columns at the front. Each tier also has a moulded edge and a simple apron. The uprights at the back are open fretwork with foliate style carving. Beneath the bottom tier are turned and tapering bulbous legs which finish on brass and white porcelain castors. The piece retains its original colour and patination. Wonderful mellow colour and good selection of burr walnut veneers.

Size 105cm high x 107cm wide x 37cm deep.
