Mid Victorian Oak Kitchen Table
A large, full of character and lovely Victorian oak and pine kitchen table with six drawers.
We purchased this table from the estate of the artist Richard Beer decd. It had been used in his working studio and at some time been painted white.
We have stripped the white paint only to reveal a mass spill of black lithograph ink on the surface. We then started work to remove the ink as much as possible and what was jet black ink has left a pale greyish residue on the surface, there are also odd splashes of other colours as well. We have scrubbed and cleaned the frame and the whole table has been waxed and polished including the interiors of the drawers.
The table is an oak frame with a pine top with an oak cleated edge. There are six drawers, 3 on each side, all with replaced handles as all but one were missing. The frame also had beading that was missing in parts, we have made replacement beading and have blended these in with the original.
Please examine the photographs for more detail. If you are after a brand new table then this is definitely not for you. If you are looking for something on trend and something with lots of character, well we think we have it here.
This has been a well used and well loved table. It is sturdy, has it's original castors on each leg for esay manouverability and it's got a long life ahead of it yet.
If, however, you prefer the pine top to be painted then we can do this for you for an additional £100 with the Farrow and Ball colour of your choice

We always use a fully insured courier but he is usually on his own, so please when you make arrangements with the him for delivery please make sure there is someone available to help him if required. Collection is usually well within 14 days of the order being placed and delivery is usually 8 to 10 days after that.

For UK deliveries we use Royal Mail 2nd class or Parcelforce 48 and always signed for and always fully insured
Sending parcels abroad we use parcel2go, we always fully insure each parcel and use signed for delivery.

RETURNS...
We will gladly accept returns within 14 days of delivery if the item is not as described or broken in transit.
