Mid Victorian Scallop Occasional Chair


Circa 1870, very stylish mid Victorian scallop occasional chair. The back has ribbing and deep buttons. The uprights are carved at the top and cabriole in style. There is a large oval stuffover seat with a deep apron which goes around the entire chair. At the front are two large turned, fluted and tapering legs which finish with a stylish bezel, and beneath this a brass and porcelain castor. The back legs are outswept.
Size 88cm high x 62cm wide x 68cm deep.
