a momento mori ,painting given by countess shaftesbury (extra lady of the bed chamber to queen mary ) to a mr hilton in 1929 in remembrance of her mother ,which has all been engraved on the lower silver plaque, there is a smaller silver plaque bearing a crown & initials & date 1929,the painting seems to be on copper ,the frame seems to be an 18th c venetian frame ,but must have been chosen to house this painting & plaques in 1929 painting 14 cm x 12 cm ,frame 49cm x 24cm
