This is a rare piece, the sign is made in metal and shows the back of the painter who is supposedly painting a sign on the wall of the Pub, he is sitting on a plank, with his paint and brushes on the right and hanging on a hook on the left there is a large pot of paint (this can be unhooked and moved to another position)
The sign is in reasonably good condition the colours are bright, it has not been overpainted, there is some of the enamel paint missing mainly on his hat, a delightful piece and much sought after
The sign is 53” high, 59” wide
