Late 19th.c. English Aesthetic Movement bamboo side cabinet c.1890. Useful narrow dimensions, just 26½” wide. Arched ‘Japanned’ lacquerwork panel top and gallery shelf over a small cabinet with bevelled mirror doors. Two door cupboard base with two small drawers in the waist. Bamboo frame with lacquered panels, doors and drawer fronts decorated with oriental style birds and flowers. Art Nouveau pattern drawer handles. Sides, shelves and interior with an embossed paper lining. Excellent condition, original throughout. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
