Narrow early 20th.c. French semainier chest of drawers c.1930. So called because it has seven drawers, one for each day of the week, ideal for clothes, accessories or even filing. Just 23″ wide, original marble top with shaped and moulded edge. Over seven oak lined drawers, serpentine fronted drawers with symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers, inlaid stringing and large decorative brass handles and escutcheons. Matching veneers to the sides and rounded front corners, also to the shaped apron and legs which also feature pierced brass mounts. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
