Oak Double Wellington Collectors Chest

This is a good and unusual large Victorian double Wellington or collectors chest in golden quarter-sawn oak with an attractive ‘sun-ray’ grain to the wood.
It has two banks of six graduated drawers which can be locked closed by the flap on either side. Each drawer has two original brass handles and is lined in ash with dovetail joints. The sides are nicely panelled and finished with mouldings and the whole piece stands on a plinth base. There is a label inside for J Ellicock, Aberdeen.
CONDITION
This is in good condition with a lovely warm colour. It has a shrinkage line to the veneer on the top and usage marks consistent with age. There are also some remains of some old sticky labels to the top drawer edges (so not visible when closed).
Please contact me and I can send you a link to the full catalogue of photos for this item.
