Here is a very good quality and completely original antique oak George II bird cage tripod table, circa 1730. The table features oak cross banded edging around the two piece table top it features a “bird cage” structure underneath the table. The tilt top table has the original hinge and locking mechanism - the top locks into the bird cage when closed with the original locking wedge. The table features a well shaped “gun barrel” turned stem terminating in the original pad feet. This table is completely original and has fantastic colour / patination.
