Oak Longcase Clock by Dickenson of Boston Lincs. Thomas Dickenson of Boston recorded maker from 1790 to 1828 this example we have estimated as being made between 1800 and 1820, 8 day movement in full working order following a service given by ourselves. The previous owner was local to Boston and had been in their ownership for at least 3 generations and came to us very recently. The case is very attractive with nice colour oak and fleur de lys oval panel in the centre of the door. The oak skirting has at some time in the past has been replaced which is not unusual.
