Circa 1880. A gilt framed oil painting of a country scene, signed ‘T McIntosh’, who we assume is ‘Thomas Alexander McIntosh, 1866 – 1925 born in Edinburgh’, painter of oil watercolour landscapes and grandson of the Aberdeen artist James Gordon. The painting depicting a shepherd with his flock on a country lane with trees on both sides. The picture is contained in a very stylish gilt frame with a gilt slip and further beading, foliate carving with a concave section, and more beadings.
