An Outstanding Large 19th Century gilt brass striking carriage antique clock.c.1885. 8 Day Paris exhibition movement striking on the hour and the half. Brocot visible escapement to the inverted dial. Rare compass and thermometer dial to the top. Bevelled edge glasses. Dentil moulded case and reeded carry handle to the top. Superb condition. Full working order. Measures 6" x 5"deep x 8"high(10" including handle up). Sturmans Antiques is a family run business, established over 35 years ago in the beautiful market town of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales.
