Pair 14" Solid Oak Open Barley Twist Candlesticks

A wonderful pair of wooden candlesticks, always a winning combination, polished Oak and brass and especially in such an impressive size, towering 14"
Not to be confused with a simple pair of twists, these are the highly sought-after "open" twists, with two hand carved twists spiraling around each other.
The highly decorative cast brass drip trays are to protect the wood from hot wax drips, the brass re-polished to gleam, and a more unusual design than most.
The pair do stand straight, when photographed as a pair, it often looks like one is leaning, but this is not the case.
Dating to around 1900, they both remain in excellent condition, a mammoth 14" tall with a base diameter measuring 5 1/2".
