A rare pair of Staffordshire figures of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert made in about 1840 at the time of their wedding.
Prince Albert 11" high,Victoria 10.75"
In very good condition with only some loss of black cold paint no doubt caused by dusting over the years.
The Victoria and Albert Museum have an almost identical figure of Victoria only but mention that a matching figure of Albert was made as a pair.They give 1840 as approx. date(Acession no. 322). You may return a purchase within 14 days for a refund if you are not happy with it,but you will have to pay the full cost of return postage/carriage.The item must be returned undamaged.
