Pair Antique Edwardian Side Chairs
A magnificent pair of antique Edwardian side chairs in satin walnut with carved rams head backs. The rams head carved backs meet the top rail with carved horns and are surrounded by carved acanthus leaves with carved and pierced ovals below and further acanthus leaf carving to the bottom of the rails. The side rails are decorated in satinwood crossbanding and ebony stringing along with the legs and seat rails. They have been newly reupholstered in a golden heavy brocade fabric. These are more suited as decorative side or hall chairs rather than chairs for heavy use.

The chairs have a number of splits and old mends to the veneers (see photos). They are certainly more of a decorative and suit occasional use rather than heavy use. The frames are solid and have been newly reupholstered.
