A magnificent pair of antique French balloon back chairs in beautifully figured walnut dating from the late 19th century. With shaped top rails with a double circle crossing in the back with carved scrolls. They stand on carved and shaped cabriole legs with carving to the knees and scroll feet. Newly re-webbed and recovered, solid and sturdy and in good original condition. Would make a wonderful pair of side chairs or bedroom chairs.

Good original condition. Beautiful warm colour and patina. Solid frames. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly re-webbed and recovered (horsehair). Some small old mends to the back splats (solid).
