A very decorative pair of antique Victorian Gothic chairs in aged ebonised oak dating from circa 1890. They have elaborately carved backs with carved and pierced central panels and a carved back rail depicting vine leaves. The side supports are barley twist and topped with finials. The back legs are also barley twist and the stretchers and front legs are turned and solid carved seats.

Fairly solid to sit on, some slight give (but not too wobbly). Wear and marks commensurate with age to the frames.
