We are pleased to offer for sale this very attractive pair of Brass Table Lamps with an Eastern origin with a pair of new bespoke shades from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders, Mr. Selfridge etc. lampshades.

The cast brass table lamps have richly ornamented stepped bases, chamfered columns with similar ornamentation and a cruciform top supported by scrolls.

The shades are in the 'Paris' style and are made of gold brocade, with the corner panels in William Morris 'Snakeshead' pattern in the blue and gold colourway. They feature double fringeing in navy overlaid with gold, gold braid and beaded tassels. Please note that is has proven difficult to photograph the navy fringe indoors as it looks black in the photos, so we have included a photograph of it outside to show the true colour.

The bases have been rewired in antique gold coloured braided fabric covered flex and have all new fittings, including safer switched lampholders, plugs and shade carriers. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 27" - 68.55

Size of shade: 12 1/2" - 31.75cm square

Size of base: 6" - 15.25cm square

Condition: Very good. The shades are new.
