Pair Edwardian inlaid mahogany salon armchairs
These are simply sumptuous. I don't think you will ever see a prettier pair of Edwardian salon chairs than these.
The chairs date to around 1910. They are made in solid mahogany. Look at the quality of the floral inlaid cartouches to the backs. The leading rails have crisp boxwood lines as do the feet. Look at the scroll inlay to the arms. Look at the fine cabriole legs terminating in original brass casters. The seats are serpentine at the front with a small roll back and they are opulently upholstered in pink silk. These are a beautiful pair of chairs.
The chairs are in very good condition. The mahogany is rich. The silk is clean and unfaded. The joints are solid.
These chairs would look wonderful in a well appointed drawing room or bedroom.
The chair seats are 17 inches high and the backs 36 inches high. The chairs are 23.5 inches wide and 23 inches deep.
