Stunning pair of very large (100 cm tall) African carved wood Senufo bird statues, c 1950. These are very fine,large and heavy pieces that have a real presence. Both are well carved with very typical traditional styling.They are a true male and female pair with slight differences to the styling to reflect this- for example the crest on the heads.They have great colour/patina and condition is good with only very minor surface wear /rubbing.Overall they are very impressive and decorative pieces with real presence.Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or if you have any questions.
