Pair Mahogany Shop Museum Display Cabinets

CODE 0145/0148
These are a stunning pair of double-sided shop display cabinets or as they once were Museum cabinets dating from late Victorian around 1880. This pair of cabinets came out of a very top end clothing department store and have been very well looked after and respected. Both cabinets are the absolute epitome of quality and style of the Victorian period.
The cabinets match exactly and are all mahogany which is a super-rich colour. The cabinets each had 6 mahogany framed glass doors to each side each door is 42mm thick and have brass catches and security locks which work but only have the one key between the two cabinets. The end panels to the cabinets are solid wood and white panelled inside and are reeded with inset with one-piece solid mahogany. The centre separation panels are solid panelled wood painted white. The glass shelves that come in 3 pieces each to make up each shelf is toughened and 10mm thick each one. The shelves sit on cast iron brackets. As you will see from the photos each side of the cabinets have brass numbers on the cornice again top quality thickness etc. this is from when they were in a museum. To finish the cabinets off and emphasise the quality again each cabinet has a dust board that goes on the top.
The cabinets break down to 15 pieces plus glass shelves and brackets for ease of transportation and installation.
PLEASE NOTE We are offering these cabinets as a pair but maybe open to splitting them please contact us if that is something you may be interested in.
