This is a fine and rare pair of 19th century bowfronted corner cabinets with a beautiful black lacquer decorated and gilded with chinoiserie figures, birds and buildings.
The pair are in super condition and the antique gilding has a wonderful depth throughout, attractively highlighted in a warm madder red. There are locks and matching keys present to the doors and three shaped shelves to the interior which are later painted in a tasteful Georgian grey eggshell.
These are very rare to find as a pair and these two are in outstanding condition for their age, dating from around 1850.
The cabinets measure 90 cms in height 58 cms wide and 40 cms in depth.
