This is a pair of antique book stands. An English, oak A-frame folio rest or recital stand in the manner of the Cotswold School, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
Delightfully finished with the grace and quality associated with the Cotswold School
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select oak presents fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Rich caramel hues beam beneath a quality, wax polish finish
Distinctive A-frame form, rising to a domed apex over a serpentine rear support
Lower folio rest with raised support, useful for holding open books
Will also provide attractive service as music recitals stands or for reading speeches
Base finished with a protective emerald green baize
