Pair of Antique Staffordshire Spaniel Dogs

A charming pair of antique Victorian Staffordshire pottery spaniel figures. These classic red and white King Charles spaniels are beautifully hand-painted with expressive faces, gilt collars, padlocks, and chain detailing — hallmarks of the traditional Staffordshire mantle dogs that graced many English homes during the Victorian era.
Each dog features distinctive brushwork and fine detail to the coats, with lovely signs of age including typical craquelure and minor paint wear, consistent with genuine antique examples. The pair displays wonderfully together, evoking timeless charm and a warm nostalgic character.
Dimensions (each):
Height: 25 cm (9.84 in)
Width 16 cm (6.30 in)
Depth 6 cm (2.36 in)
Condition:
Good antique condition with age-related crazing, small glaze imperfections and minor wear to the paint — all adding to their authentic character and patina. No major cracks or restorations noted.
Dated: 1860
Origin: England
