Pair of Antique Swedish Giltwood Side Chairs
An incredibly beautiful pair of antique Swedish Empire gilt wood side chairs. They were recently imported from Sweden, we would date them to around the 1880-1900 period.
The quality is outstanding, the gilt wood frames have an absolutely stunning design and a beautiful patina. There is profuse, crisp carving throughout, these so beautiful they looks as if they came out of a palace.
The condition is excellent for their age, we have had them re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. There is just some minor surface wear here and there.
This is part of a suite that we have, including a matching settee and marble top table, all seen listed under our other items for sale.

Depth – 17 inches , 43 cm
Height – 37 inches , 95 cm
