Top quality pair of antique Victorian mahogany bedside chests that have been adapted from a larger Victorian piece, with all the wood & the overall shape belonging to the original piece. The tops are solid mahogany, all the edges are rounded & they sit on plinth bases The drawers are graduated in depth, with original locks & mahogany turned handles. The drawers are also finely dovetailed. These bedsides are in excellent condition & the detail in the grain of mahogany is very good. They also have a nice deep colour & patina. Beware of cheaper imitations on the market. This pair are of the highest quality & quite hard to find.
