A truly stunning pair of matching Art Deco wardrobes in the style of Epstein. These beautiful wardrobes have fabulous pale highly figured burr walnut doors with inverted birch fluted panels to their centres. They retain their original handles which have ebonised detailing to their sides as well as ebonised plinths.
The larger of the 2 wardrobes has full width hanging offering fabulous storage. The right hand side has a large shelved area to the top with 2 capacious drawers to the base, both run smoothly.
The smaller wardrobe has full hanging to the left hand side with 2 original chrome rails for shoe storage. To the right hand side is a large cubby hole for hats with 5 shelves with glazed opening doors with original labels for shirts, pyjamas, underwear, sundries and socks, below these are 2 capacious drawers giving even more storage.
We are not attributing these to Epstein but they are in the “style” of Epstein, pale highly figured burr walnut doors, the wardrobes of excellent construction with fluted panels and excellent quality detailing.
The larger of the wardrobes divides down the centre for ease of assembly.
The doors and sides are all matching tones and colour and these are an original matching pair of Art Deco wardrobes as opposed to a matched pair, making these both rare and highly desirable.
Having passed through our “in house” workshop here in North Devon they are presented in excellent condition and have been traditionally hand French polished ready to grace your home.
