This is a fine pair of Chinese portrait paintings on silk of an Emperor and Empress in gilded bamboo-simulated wooden frames. The sitters are depicted in their hats and robes sitting on raised throne chairs. The portrait of the Empress bears two seal marks, one oval the other rectangular shaped.

Condition: The paintings are in fine antique condition with the odd spot or mark. The frames are in very good condition.
