Pair of Early Victorian Carved Oak Hall Chairs


Circa 1860, good pair of early Victorian carved oak hall chairs. The chairs have a solid back which is in the form of a heraldic shield with foliate carving on the top left and right, and scrolls on the top and the side. The solid oak seat is quarter sawn with rounded corners at the front and a deep apron. Standing on elegant turned and tapering legs at the front and slightly outswept back legs. Good colour and patination.
Size 86cm high x 45cm wide x 42cm deep.
